Strengthening Academia–Industry Collaboration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The Logistics Institute of Central Asia (LICA) conducted an official visit to International Supply Chain Operator (ISCO) as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia and industry and enhancing the practical relevance of logistics education.

The visit focused on several strategic areas of cooperation, including:
— the development of professional partnerships within the logistics and supply chain sector;
— analysis of operational processes and contemporary supply chain management practices;
— expansion of collaboration in executive education, professional training, and applied research initiatives.

During the visit, the LICA team delivered presentations on the following topics:
— Effective Management of Logistics Companies: Insights from Boeing’s International Experience;
— Mini-MBA Program Overview: Developing Managerial and Leadership Competencies;
— LICA: Strategic Vision, Institutional Activities, and Opportunities for Collaboration.

The discussions highlighted the importance of integrating academic knowledge with practical industry experience to ensure that educational programs remain practice-oriented, industry-relevant, and aligned with evolving market demands.

LICA continues to promote an educational approach grounded in the integration of theory, applied practice, and industry engagement, contributing to the development of highly qualified professionals in logistics and supply chain management across Central Asia.

The Logistics Institute of Central Asia expresses sincere appreciation to Mr. Yunus Zairov, Director of ISCO, and the entire ISCO team for their warm hospitality and constructive professional dialogue.
