About the Program

We are excited to invite academic partners to the 5th Introductory Train-the-Trainer (TTT) Program on Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This training is designed for two faculty members from each university who have not previously attended TTT training.

Led by internationally recognized experts and practitioners, the seminar is based on materials developed by LICA and Learn Logistics by Kühne Foundation. Upon successful completion, participants will have the option to obtain an international certificate.

Background

Since 2016, we have successfully conducted four TTT trainings for academic partners. As a result, 13 universities are now either integrating the LSCM certificate program into their curriculum or preparing to do so.

Meet the Instructors

  • Prof. Dr. Denny J Cho – President, LICA/GTS, Kyrgyzstan; PhD, MBA, MSME, USA.

  • Prof. Dr. Andre Kreie – Managing Director, Learn Logistics by Kühne Foundation, Switzerland; PhD, MS, UK/Germany.

Program Goals

  1. Train LSCM instructors to teach future logistics specialists in universities:

    • Foundational content of the Learn Logistics by Kühne Foundation and LICA LSCM certificate program.

    • Advanced content of the Learn Logistics by Kühne Foundation and LICA LSCM certificate program.

  2. Build a network of LSCM instructors to collaborate on:

    • LSCM-related research and publications.

    • Student internship programs.

    • Professional training, short courses, and seminars.

  3. Strengthen the LSCM workforce in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

1) Basic Teaching Strategy and Effective Techniques
2) Module 1: Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Strategies, concepts, global logistics, customer value, international business, and contract management.

3) Module 2: Manufacturing and Inventory Management
  • E-procurement, purchasing strategies, forecasting, decision-making, quality management, and MRP/ERP.

4) Module 3: Integration of LSCM
  • Distribution networks, warehousing, routing, transportation-inventory cost modeling, and fleet sizing.

  • Special topics: IoT integration, logistics information systems, urban transportation, humanitarian logistics, and sustainability.

Participation Details

  • Free participation for all attendees.

  • International certificate fee: 1,000 som per person (optional).

  • Travel reimbursement for participants from outside Bishkek (receipts required).

  • Each participant must bring a laptop for training sessions.
